Digital Manufacturing & Operations - Oil & Gas Practitioner - Industry X
Accenture is augmenting the firm’s Strategy & Consulting practice with the addition of a Senior Manager in our Industry X Business to work with the Energy Industry group, specifically the Refining Industry sector in Europe. Industry X professionals work with client resources to conceptualize, design and implement digital operational performance improvement programs and IT applications to support the business. Not only we will help them to improve their operational efficiency to improve their margins but also help them deal with the current crisis by improving their capital and operational spend efficiency, asset utilization and cash position.
The successful candidate will bring a combination of functional expertise in Refining Operations and previous professional service experience to include a successful track record in both business development and service delivery. This new Senior Manager will interact with C-level executives on a regular basis assisting in digital operating strategy development with a focus on improving return on capital through asset and operations optimization – spanning MES/ MOM modernization, digital solutions related to analytics, cloud and mobile worker solutions, and asset reliability. This executive will also work closely with Accenture’s client account leaders on the development and execution of sales campaigns and working to access client’s on the core Industry X Offerings. In addition, this executive will be responsible for formulating and driving emerging solutions and offerings across the Refining domain including end to end business services.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader that brings a passion for Plant Operations to the market. Accenture seeks a high-energy professional that thrives in a highly collaborative environment where team success takes priority over individual metrics. The individual should have a track record of building previous Refining Specific Consulting Operations businesses and services offerings, demonstrated ability to work big deals (greater than $20MM), solution architect client specific digital solutions, and ability to work across the globe with on and offshore delivery models. The person should be entrepreneurial in nature, creative in deal structuring and solutions, and ability to vision the “art of the possible” in Digital Plant Operations Services including cloud hosted solutions for plant systems, advanced production process analytics (ML/ AI), EH&S, mobile worker solutions, Predictive Maintenance, Intelligent turn arounds, and predictive analytics for asset health or operations optimizations “as a service”.
Roles and Responsibilities
Build and maintain a sales pipeline that supports the European Industry X business plan and Individual sales targets ($10MM or greater)
Drive the development of Accenture solutions, assets and project accelerators around the Digital Refining Operations domain including new and innovative end-to-end business services
Drive sales campaigns across technology, business process, and strategy focused on emerging offerings such as Digital worker enablement, predictive asset and operations analytics, real time plant visibility, remote operations, etc.
Assist with the identification and prioritization of target clients across the Refining portfolio and team with client account leadership during planning and sales efforts
Build a larger Refining Operations Europe practice including identification of potential hires and screening candidates
Build and maintain relationship with key industry executives to include representing Accenture and/ or speaking at Manufacturing related industry forums as requested
Work with Alliance partners to drive market penetration and differentiated solutions across Digital Refining solutions
Work with Account teams to deliver Digital Manufacturing & Operations Services:
Assist teams in performing assessments of client facilities to evaluate present Digital Operations programs and determine future state improvements to achieve a digital plant vision
Document needs and create value propositions for improvement initiatives including the development of site level and enterprise wide Digital Operations strategies
Assist teams in development of business cases to include cost/benefit estimation, resource planning, scheduling and definition of KPIs to drive operational excellence
Support client improvement initiatives with expertise on operational excellence tools of lean six sigma, reliability centered maintenance, Manufacturing execution systems (MES), worker productivity, etc.
Support client improvement initiatives leveraging digital technologies such as cloud services, predictive asset analytics, and mobile solutions for improved Plant Operations personnel productivity.
Work on inorganic growth strategies and plans with global leadership
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years in Refining industry related experiences (Refining highly preferred, Oil & as secondary)
15+ years of Refining Operations consulting experience
Expertise in Industry 4.0 digital solutions and services
Expertise with key operational and maintenance principles of Production Planning and Scheduling, Operations Optimization, Inventory Management, Energy Management, Supply Chain Optimization, Maintenance Management, Turn Around/ Shutdown Management
Experience in Refining Operations best practices and root cause analysis
Experience building new businesses and service offerings from incubation to full scale solutions across process and technology
Proven ability to sell and deliver management consulting projects with a focus on Operational excellence/ Lean Principles/ Step Change/ OMS, underpinned by Technology solutions
Experience working in agile, scrum methods preferred
Experience driving large scale improvement programs within Refining organization
Value proposition formulation and proposal development
Working knowledge of common refining plant systems to include IP21, OSI Soft, Aspentech, Schneider Electric/ Aveva, Honeywell PHD, Siemens HXQ, Meridium, SAP PM, Maximo, various Lims/ Quality systems
Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Customer relationship management and deep skills in expectation management
