As the DevOps Team Lead, you will collaborate with operations, security, and development teams to deliver and support the entire service and application lifecycle. You will manage your own team members, leading them on projects and give technical expertise where needed. Excellent Communication in this role is key. You aim for fast integration centered on service availability, security, scalability, observability, and automation. You will oversee the development of reusable DevOps tools that will result in fully automated and secure release management pipelines. Throughout this whole process, it is important to keep the “customer first” mindset to satisfy the needs of all our customers. You will be expected to teach others on best practices, be able take lead and make decisions when required. In this role you will report into the Director of CloudOps and Devops and work closely with the Support Operations Center and Incident Management managers.
Your mission at Irdeto:
Act as the routine technical contact for various teams/departments in the company, maintaining a continuous feedback loop to deliver optimum solutions.
Advise on solution architecture designs.
Manage and review the operational incidents and escalations for the devops team.
Develop and advocate operational best practices, standards and processes.
Organize, plan, and manage the team’s vacations, jira projects, and the scheduled 24×7 on-call rotation.
Coach and mentor your team members on technical items and give recommendations on improvements.
Will agree, in conjunction with their Manager: the objectives for the team, resource and training requirements, and project scheduling.
Work on technical tasks to support the teams on “infrastructure as code” and automation scripts that will deploy cloud hosted environments.
Reduce and track cloud costs where applicable.
Take a pro-active approach to system monitoring and observation for rapid issue identification and resolution.
Oversee the development of in-house tools that support the DevOps processes.
Produce quality and timely documentation.
Continuously update own knowledge on new cloud and DevOps products and how they can be incorporated.
How you can add value to the team?
Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
AWS Devops Professional Certification is preferable.
5+ years’ experience working in AWS cloud environments.
4+ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the cloud-based tools that support them (we use Jenkins, gitlab CI, CodeDeploy, ECS, Kubernetes).
5+ years’ experience with docker and container management platforms.
2+ years of Kubernetes is required.
Solid Background in Linux/Unix Administration.
3+ Experience with automation/configuration management using either CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible or related tools.
3+ Experience with application performance monitoring, log aggregation and analysis (using at least one tool i.e. Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, loki, Elasticsearch).
Strong experience with python and shell scripting language (i.e. python, bash, rust, node.js, go).
