The Edge team operates as a DevOps team that is responsible for developing, testing, deploying and supporting the IoT applications and environments in close cooperation with other multidisciplinary teams. The Edge team is part of the Vopak Global IT organization, the main supplier of IT services for Vopak business units worldwide and the Dutch headquarters. We drive the innovation and digitization of Vopak and the maintenance of the current IT landscape.

Tasks & responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer you are motivated by the challenge of creating automated deployments to both Cloud based and on-premise infrastructure at many different locations worldwide. Developing a platform that will change the way in which Vopak does business by providing insights which were unavailable until now. You enjoy automation in delivery, maintenance and upgrades, ensuring the best platform solution to our end users.

Automate testing, deployments, installation and upgrades of the IoT Edge platform worldwide

Deliver new functionalities for the IoT Edge platform with scalability and maintainability in mind

Deploying and running an IoT Edge platform for Industrial IoT (IIoT) initiatives

Build the bridge between the Industrial and the IT world.

Requirements:
Minimum Bsc educational level in Information Technology or similar preferred

Minimum of 2 years working experience as a DevOps Engineer

A software engineering background

Infrastructure as Code (e.g. AWS CloudFormation or CDK)

Linux, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab), Docker

Deployment scripting

Fluent in business English (verbal and writing)

A plus if you also have experience with:
NodeJS

MongoDB

AWS Lambda
