job context and purpose
As a Development Manager you are responsible for building the Global Solutions assigned to this CoE. This concerns Global Solutions in the field of Sales / CRM and Pool management. You do this with agile, self-organizing development teams and Tech Leads who you lead.
You work closely with the Product Managers Sales / CRM and Workforce Management: they analyze from discussions with stakeholders which solutions we are going to build and translate these needs into concrete epics. Together with them and the Head of CoE, the roadmap determines which solutions we build and based on which priorities. The Po, development teams and Tech Leads translate the chosen epics into sprints. They deliver products or features in a fixed rhythm and seek and respond to feedback on the completed work as soon as possible to maintain this rhythm. Your role is to define standards on development, testing and code review. And you’re responsible for coaching and challenging them to keep on track, deliver and make the right decisions.
You are an expert in software development, you have extensive experience in managing development teams and you have a good and up-to-date insight into the developments that play an international role in Randstad's business concepts. You set the standards for your teams to ensure there is a solid balance between swift development and code review and the need for thorough documentation for the inevitable later refactoring.
You naturally think from the journey of customer, candidate and employee, you know how to convey your vision in an inspiring way, you are strong in stakeholder management, you dare to say no, you have an agile mindset and you are a connector collaborating with different levels of the organization.
