For the Technology & Engineering (T&E) department of GKN/Fokker Landing Gear, we are looking for a pragmatic Development Engineer who can define repair definitions for field and depot maintenance. In this position, you translate the new build definition of the landing gear and intermediate gearbox of the NH90 helicopter into a repair definition and consult the right specialists to define practicable repairs.
Establishing procedures, methods and work instructions for field and depot repairs within a qualified baseline design.
Selecting suitable repair methods within the available design definition.
Define repair regulations permitted within the existing design.
Writing technical documents that serve as the basis for the content of maintenance manuals.
Selecting production techniques for maintenance and repairs that are permitted within the existing design definition.
You are pro-active, self-starting and entrepreneurial, have good communication skills and you are a team player. You like to work in a multidisciplinary environment and are familiar with technology development, production engineering, testing and certification. You are willing to learn and are able to arrange things.
Bachelor or Master in Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Good analytical skills in combination with a practical attitude.
Affinity with complex technical systems like landing gear.
Critical mind-set / conscious of quality.
Capable of writing technical documentation in English.
Knowledge of materials and processes, preferably in an aerospace environment.
Affinity with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul is a recommendation.
Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic (aerospace) components is a recommendation.
Experience in working with CAD applications (CATIA/Creo) is a recommendation.
(Preferably) 5 years of relevant working experience.
