    Deployment Planning and Coordination

    About the Role

    Within the Production Operations division, the Central Coordination and Planning (CPC) team is responsible for the coordination and implementation of releases and changes to software and infrastructures on the SWIFT Production (external customers) and Enterprise (internal customers) environments. The team provides project and release management oversight, maintains a long and medium term planning to advise delivery teams on implementation dates and ensures operational requirements are included in the delivery. For the short term, the team maintains a detailed weekend and week planning to ensure the most effective and successful use of time and resources are made available for all delivery teams.

    Responsibilities:

    With oversight from more senior staff, the candidate will assist in multiple functions related to the planning and coordination of release and change implementations, with the objective to have these changes successful deployed in the Production and Enterprise Environments.

    In this role, one will participate in meetings with the various delivery teams working on new releases, products and infrastructural updates. In parallel you will work with the operational teams managing the services on a daily, 24/7 basis, to ensure the operational requirements are met and teams are ready to manage the new or changed service.

    Maintaining the long and medium term planning is an important task in this role, as well as preparing the detailed planning for the short term. For this short term planning you will prepare and run various meetings with a combined audience of delivery and operational teams.

    This position requires a strong collaboration with SWIFT business units throughout the organization in order to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of technology solutions.

    • Responsible for planning, coordination, support and communication around deployments and change in the Production and Enterprise environment

    • Maintain the overall planning overview and dates for implementation of releases and infrastructure changes.

    • Liaise with key stakeholders on a recurring basis to be able to anticipate and raise awareness on the deployment demand and provide forecasts.

    • Ensures that issues and risks are identified, understood and are managed by delivery and operational teams with the goal to mitigate risk where possible.

    • Provide ongoing assistance with delivery of documented delivery artefacts, in order to satisfy standard audit controls.

    • Act as central role in the approval process for higher risk changes, and make sure administration around this process is accurate and meeting the audit controls.

    • Prepare specific provisioning requests and progress them to implementation

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor degree in IT or Project Management discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualification and experience

    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Project Management (Support) or release planning experience within the IT area, or in an area of similar complexity

    • Good understanding of Scrum or Project Management methodologies

    • Experience in working with distributed teams, located in various continents and time-zones

    • Relevant experience in implementing scalable, high-performance and secure data-center focused applications is preferable

    • Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management skills with strong attention to detail

    • Open-minded, curious, solutions oriented, and a true team player. Gaining energy through collaboration with others
