As an experienced developer you will further help develop our bank wide Data Warehouse (DWH). With your expertise you will make sure that the solutions that are chosen are effective and efficient and are maintainable. To build our D WH we are u sing innovative technologies such as Data Warehouse Automatio n and Data Warehouse Virtualization . You will have a pivotal role in using these innovative technologies . You can answer questions regarding the use of data and the best way to make this data available. You understand the importance of data and with your industry expertise, skills, and capabilities you anticipate on future business needs. From there you create a plan for how data will support and enable this, based on the data architecture. You are a fantastic sparring partner for business stakeholders and other colleagues, with whom you implement solutions for data. As Senior DWH developer you :
Design , model and develop ( parts of ) th is DWH and required ETL;
Contribute to the structure, design, and development of the DWH ( SmartBI );
Automate and optimize various processes within the DWH;
Are responsible that the solutions that are build are long-term stable and maintainable ;
Guiding and educating junior team members ;
Organize knowledge sharing sessions ;
Providing advice and guidance to business stakeholders and other colleagues.
As Senior DWH developer you are part of the Data IT team. A multidisciplinary team in which several competences are present, like Application Managers, Business Analysts, DWH developers etc. The team consists of different ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. We strive for an informal, collegial atmosphere where respect, trust and appreciation are core values. Your manager steers on your advice, and you act as a sparring partner and specialist for all competences in the team. You have the knowledge and experience to help the team and NIBC forward.

In this role you need to take initiative, perform well on your own and in a team, plan and organize your own and your team’s work, and have a creative and flexible attitude :
At least 10 years of experience as a developer in Business Intelligence, data modeling, data integration, and ETL pipelines (and m inimal 5 years experience in banking, preferably experience with regulatory reporting ).
A bachelor or master degree (e.g. Applied Computer Science)
Being able to develop a vision regarding the direction that the team and the data warehouse should move to.
Expert level knowledge on Data Warehousing.
Track record of completed projects with Data Warehouse Automation, preferably WhereScape .
Experienced in working in Agile/Scrum/DevOps teams.
Preferably data virtu a lisation knowledge (Denodo) .
