    The department Product Management defines and executes the product policy within the Naval organization. We develop and maintain attractive products with maximized value propositions by anticipating market needs and by building on our technological excellence. Product Management works closely together with Customer Account Teams, Engineering (including technical innovation) and Supply Chain in order to ensure market success of all naval products, services and solutions.

    Your job as Data Manager Product Policy is very diverse and challenging. Next to contact with the product managers, you will engage relevant stakeholders such as sales directors, marketing directors, supply chain managers and business reporting specialists. The Data Manager Product Policy prepares management steering information for strategic sizing of the Naval organization and its product policy. In this role you connect strategic planning with product plans including operational actions executed by Product Teams. Furthermore your contribution to the Sales & Operations Planning Process is key to balance our demand with the supply chain and engineering capacity. In short the main tasks of the Data Manager Product Policy are:

    • Taking ownership for all relevant business data available for product policy and actively manages stakeholders
    • Driving the product and bid forecast as part of Sales & Operations Planning and prepares related executive meetings
      • Responsible for monitoring and improving the forecast accuracy
      • Run continuous forecast improvement processes
    • Supporting the product policy process by
      • Providing market analysis synthesis and financial synthesis to product managers for product policy decision reviews
      • Supervising the product lifecycle management budget and costs
    • Contributing with actionable intelligence to
      • Strategic business plans and multiyear budgets
      • Product (line) plans
      • Product team dashboards
    • Contributing to the integration of Information Systems
      • Managing the implementation of product nomenclature in various (legacy) Information Systems

    About you

    You are a crisp communicator with solid business acumen and engages easily with various stakeholders within Naval. Your hand-on problem solving attitude helps the Naval organization moving forward to become a products and projects organization.

    We are looking for a new colleague who:

    • demonstrates a strong self-direction with a high level of commitment and drive
    • has a proven track record in the domain of aerospace, defense or information and communication technology
    • obtained a Master degree in business administration, econometrics, operations research or business analytics domain
    • Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF) or willing to follow this
    • APICS CPIM certified is strong advantage or willing to follow this
    • is motivated to create and deliver interactive management decision reports
    • experienced with forecasting projects and products
    • masters data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI and R)
    • is result oriented and able to drive product (segment) managers in the department as such
    • is able to drive and implement change and applies the Thales Leadership Profile
