    Data Architect – Data & Analytics, Group Digital

    Moreover, we believe you have retail experience working with customer/co-worker facing digital products and therefore have knowledge and experience in:

    • the Data & Analytics field with ingestion, storage, event-driven architecture, data modeling on all levels, API design, KPIs and dashboards

    • building and designing digital products with agile methodologies

    • cloud, on-premise, and hybrid data architecture design

    • designing data architectures with batch and streaming patterns, ETL/ELT, large volumes of unstructured and structured data, variety of database technologies

    • working with core data objects like customer, co-worker, and product with all its aspects in the data lifecycle

    • communicating effectively across organisational, business, and technical boundaries

    • Privacy by design enabling GDPR compliance and PII handling of customer/co-worker data

    • advocating and communicating what your team does to create trust and authenticity, while being responsive to challenges

    • DevOps and agile development practices, in which digital products evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing cross-functional teams

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    As part of the Data Architecture team, together with a dozen data architects in Group Digital, you will be working with designing the core data capabilities of the digital products as being part of one or several product teams. You bring the data principles, enabling capabilities, standards and guidelines into the product teams for design and implementation in true togetherness with the teams.

    Your main responsibilities are to:

    • work with the business and technology stakeholders to iteratively translate business problems and opportunities into information- and data architecture solutions

    • drive capabilities, design, and development of data architecture from a data-centric perspective

    • collaborate closely with data managers, data engineers, data scientists and other roles in actively advising key stakeholders including product and platform owners on future data and technology options

    • analyse and define master data management directions and propose alternatives to improve the overall integrity and consistency of the data architecture and how data is collected and shared across

    • act as main point of contact to resolve data architecture design issues

    • be a leading voice for data architecture contributing to community of practice and feeding back to the strategic and tactical Data and Analytics movements that will benefit IKEA

    • contribute to data standards, guidelines, data strategy and directions

    The Data Architecture team is the driver of data architecture standards and guidelines across the domains. As well as the competence development centre around design and development of Data & Analytics architecture - with new and existing technologies and agile methods to deliver at pace. We set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in a fast-moving environment.

    One exciting product area is to digitalise our stores by building digital products that creates a seamless and engaging customer experience. Another one is investment into digital channels gearing up the omnichannel business model.

    The product teams in Group Digital are responsible for designing, developing and running both customer and co-worker facing digital products with the goal of delivering an IKEA unique, best in class retail experience today and tomorrow. We believe that creating digital products that supports our co-workers to better serve our customers is key for our success.
