Allianz Direct is building an awesome global insurance platform, that you built and run. We are looking for an experienced hands-on Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Warehouse (DWH) architect, for developing end-to-end DWH solutions and with a strong focus on the data preparation, modelling and transformations (‘ETL’, ‘ELT’ , ‘LETS’).
This is How you do it:
As an architect you will set the blueprint to for a data management framework;
You share your vision and make people enthusiast about using the data;
You will be part of the Direct architecture chapter with specific responsibility for our data architecture and work with our data team to deliver your vision;
Constantly you’re looking for opportunities to register the right data in the right place to feed data engineers, data scientist and Business intelligence experts to improve the use of data in our decision-making processes;
With your deep understanding of data modelling, transformations and reporting you ensure the architecture used is future proof and trusted;
We live Dev-Ops! You run what you build!
What do you bring?
Preferably experience in working with insurance data and background in analysis and understanding information from a usage perspective, Information / Business Analysis;
Experience working with conceptual, logical and physical model design, translating conceptual designs to physical implementation;
Experienced and deep understanding of modelling techniques (3NF, Data Vault, Kimball, Imon);
Experience and strong skills in SQL (including T-SQL or equivalent);
Understanding of coding and scripting, specifically using .Net or Java and with Visual Studio and Data Tools (BIDS);
Experienced in data visualization;
Understanding of data science concepts and development cycle;
Experienced in Big data solutions;
Ideally, experience working with the Microsoft data stack, including Azure, SQL Server and Power BI, including strong SQL skills and understanding of database administration concepts;
At least 3 years of experience in a Data Architect role;
MCSE certification or equivalent is preferred, including components of managing / optimizing databases;
Familiar with DevOps concepts including automated unit testing, deployment.
Experience & Key skills
Strong problem solving and delivery capabilities coupled with attention to detail and the ability to work independently;
Good communications skills and helpful attitude towards business users so that they can get access to the data to do their job;
Flexible mindset and hands-on / can-do attitude;
Strong analytical skills.
