The Fluke Customs Coordinator is responsible for all operational disciplines related to the importation, exportation of goods and raw materials across the European Distribution Centers and offer support to the European factories.
You are responsible for the management and administration of all customs documents, transactions and communicating with various Customs authorities in Europe. You will support the Customs manager in realizing strategic objectives like integrations and projects.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides advice on Customs matters in general and Customs licenses.
Tracking of all changes and developments in the field of Customs in the EMEA region
Escalation point for problems with Customs across the EU distribution centers and factories.
Keep regular contact with Customs and is responsible for ensuring a positive relationship with Customs.
Supporting and handling of Customs documentation, monthly Customs declarations, Customs debts, and possible financial risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Continuous improvement of processes to increase efficiency and improve performance to the customer.
Management / administration of inhouse Customs system (Descartes-KSD), including troubleshooting and reconciliation of inventory between Fluke ERP system (Oracle) and Descartes-KSD.
Organizing in-house training, as and when necessary, be empowered to improve staff.
Ensures staff is trained, technically competent and well informed of changes in service requirements and regulations.
Submission of information for Customs (re)classification (BTI’s) and Customs reclaims.
Customs cost management
Bachelor level education or similar experience
Professional qualifications: Import Export specialist or MCTA
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in an international working environment
Experienced in using; GPA, BW, OPR, IPR and preferably familiar with SASP
Experience in EU HS code classification and applying the GRI’s
Strong skills in MS Excel, preferably also familiar with Oracle and Descartes - KSD
Extremely accurate and structured
Experienced in AEO certification and maintenance of AEO standards (internal audit program)
Good social skills to enable interdepartmental and intercompany communication
Ability to negotiate with external organizations in Netherlands, Germany, and United Kingdom
Fluent in English, Dutch and German language
