Customer Sales Executive-Europe M/V
Coyote Logistics, a UPS company, is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) service provider in North America and in Europe. Coyote provides truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, air, and ocean brokerage services and transportation management services to more than 14,000 shippers of various sizes and industries. Recently Coyote Logistics started expanding into the European market. A new European head office has been established in Amsterdam with regional offices in the UK and Poland as well.
With respect to Europe, Coyote Logistics aims for rapid and strong growth in many different European countries. To achieve these goals, we are looking for seasoned Customer Sales Executive(s) to cover the different markets.
Summary In this role, the Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for managing and developing the sales activities in Europe, focusing on expanding Coyote’s customer base by helping customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way possible. The CSE will report into the Sales Manager. It is a very versatile role where many different sales areas should be covered. You are responsible for selling Coyote’s model and services to small & medium sized customers within the SMB segment, increasing our business Europe.
Identify prospects utilizing our own system, web search engines, personal networking, industry publication, etc.
Research leads to develop background for sales calls and identify decision maker.
Cold call leads and try to breakthrough to decision maker.
Identify needs and persuade customers to give Coyote an opportunity to service their freight.
Effectively quote the customer considering all variable factors.
Maintain relationships and continue to develop existing customer accounts.
Liaise with Customer operations to ensure loads are built and scheduled correctly with all pertinent information and documentation, loads are tracked, and incidents are updated and resolved regularly.
Collaborate with the carrier sales department to ensure freight is covered with the best viable option.
Understand market trends and industry standards to facilitate pricing.
React with a sense of urgency to solve problems, escalating when necessary.
Serve as a resource to customers regarding Coyote service offerings, market trends, industry standards.
Effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
Skills, Characteristics, and Experience
Previous experience in Sales in the logistics, supply chain & transportation industry
Target driven and sales mindset, proactive, taking initiatives
Extreme multi-tasking & prioritization ability
Problem solving ability, issue resolution skills, proactive diligence
Confident decision-making skills, being able to work independently and part of a team
Customer service skills
