    Corporate Sustainability Officer


    As a leader in Sustainably Investing, Robeco recognizes the importance to meet the sustainability standards which we expect from companies we invest also in our own operations. That is why ‘Walk the talk’ is one of the six pillars of Robeco’s Sustainable Investment Strategy.
    The Corporate Sustainability Officer is responsible for a broad range of activities related to and internal coordination of our corporate sustainability.

    Position & Requirements

    Responsibilities include:

    • Writing/coordinating Sustainability report, including external assurance
    • Coordination of internal sustainability activities (including carbon footprint reduction) and closely working together with all teams involved to enhance Robeco’s Corporate Sustainability
    • Internal education on corporate sustainability, promote and contribute to a sustainable company culture
    • Coordination of CSA questionnaire for Robeco & driving improvement areas
    • Development of (new) TCFD report
    • Support Robeco Foundation
    • Contribute to the diversity and inclusion committee, the social commitment committee and the sustainability ambassadors network

    Requirements and skills

    • You have at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in corporate sustainability and experience in or solid knowledge of the financial industry
    • For this position a Bachelor+ or Master’s degree education and work level is required.
    • You have outstanding spoken and written communication skills in English.
    • You are a talented writer with strong analytical skills. And capable of turning complex matters into clear and convincing messages.
    • You have excellent planning, project management coordination and organizational skills
    • You are a strong influencer and communicator able to operate at all levels in the organization; you know how to stand your ground.
    • You have an intuitive understanding of organisations, relationships within organisations and cultural differences.
    • You have a proactive approach, are flexible and able to work in a small team environment
    • You will always be approachable to any colleague within Robeco. And not shy away from any subject that arises.

    Reporting line in the organization

    You will be reporting to the Head of Sustainable Investing, who reports to the CIO Fixed Income and Head of Sustainability of Robeco. You will closely work together with Robeco’s Corporate Communications team and other relevant teams, including Human Resources, COO office (which is responsible for our carbon footprint, sustainable purchasing & operations).
