Our Controlling function is at the heart of this mission through maintaining strong internal controls, providing timely, accurate, and relevant information to internal and external partners, and ultimately delivering expert business partnership to drive profitable growth. We are now looking for a Senior Accountant, with strong accounting and financial reporting background and a passion for the brand that will focus on our EMEA Order-To-Cash (Revenue and Sales related) accounting processes.


    • Perform the month end close process, working directly with the wider controlling function as well as the financial planning teams in territory and headquarters to provide timely reporting and insights to partners
    • Perform and evaluate the effectiveness of controls and processes and recommend improvements; demonstrate your SOX knowledge to safeguard a robust control environment
    • Assess efficiency and effectiveness of our processes and present improvements
    • Partner with cross functional partners to elevate the revenue accounting Controlling platform and be a trusted business partner in all areas of the business
    • Gain commercial insights and develop an understanding of the business both strategically and operationally and apply that knowledge to our accounting practices
    • Perform multiple projects and adjust key takeaways to a wide broad range of audiences
    • Provide mentorship and support to the revenue accounting intern who will report directly to you


    In this role you will be part of NIKE’s EMEA Financial Controlling function, reporting to the EMEA Revenue Accounting Manager, based at NIKE’s EMEA Headquarters (EHQ) in the Netherlands. You will support the broader Finance community and partner with Sales and Business functions to deliver complete and accurate financials but also significant insights that will help NIKE achieve its goals in maximizing value to athletes and shareholders.


    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 4-7 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or related functions
    • Fluent in English with first class communication skills
    • Big 4 Public Accounting experience (nice to have); CPA or equivalent required
    • Strong ability to seek information and problem solve
    • A strong awareness of automation tools and/or data science techniques backed up by self-study or work experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience working with an SAP ERP system
