    DSM Engineering Materials is leading global supplier of engineering materials and part of the Materials cluster within DSM. With an ongoing focus on innovation and sustainability, the business group develops, manufactures and markets high performance engineering materials for global industries including the electronics and automotive industries.

    Your role

    This role provides you with an opportunity to experience the roll out of the new Grow2Win Strategy at the Business Group DSM Engineering Materials.

    You will support all aspects of the new strategy roll out and provide high quality communication support to the Communications Director and Change Management Project Lead. This includes supporting the change management process, providing tactical support to strategy communications, measuring employee engagement and taking care of the logistics/traffic management of the roll out plan.

    You analyze and leverage results of the change communications to provide pro-active ideas and advice on how to improve and proceed with the strategy and change that DSM Engineering Materials is undergoing from a communication point of view.

    Hands-on training, monitoring and feedback will be provided throughout the placement and an evaluation review conducted at completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Proactive communication activities planning
    • Co-develop and execute an internal communications approach in conjunction with senior managers
    • Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
    • Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
    • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
    • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.
    • Organizing and supporting internal strategic online events
    • Managing the content calendar and co-creating content
    • Supporting in the set up all other required internal communications activities as required including creating the monthly newsletters, taking care of translations etc.
    • Liaising with designer, copywriters and other consultants’ s to create (new) communication materials.

    Personal Specifications

    • You are a natural communicator, able to present your ideas clearly both verbally and written, to colleagues of all levels, and have a keen eye for detail and design.
    • You have excellent and proven creativity, the ability to think laterally and outside the box, together with a hunger to constantly try new ideas and approaches.
    • You are also confident in liaising with senior managers and will have a good “gut feel” on how to get things done.
    • You will play an integral role within our small, busy team and as such must be highly organized and able to work under pressure.
    • You are an articulate, proactive individual who is open to working across different platforms
    • You have a “where can I help out?” mentality. 
    • You have the confidence and self-motivation to support all aspects of the new strategy roll out.

    Required experience

    • You are fluent in English and preferably Chinese.
    • Good IT skills: excellent knowledge of office applications - Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Understanding of and experience with social media and design

    Desired Experience

    • Any copy writing experience would be advantageous.
