As Communications Coordinator you will play a crucial role in this setting. You will define, develop and execute strategic activities, support the internal and external corporate communication strategies, processes and governance.
There is a high need to share our knowledge and stories both internally and externally. You will develop engaging and personal (written and video) content to connect and inform the associates of our Benelux cluster in our offices in Belgium and in the Netherlands. Furthermore, you will design and create materials we leverage to build our relationships with key opinion leaders, customers and other stakeholders.
You will be part of the Corporate Affairs department working in a highly motivated team -your source of knowledge- covering the Benelux. Together with the team you will embark on our journey to make the story of Royal Canin heard. Your base location will be preferably our office in Brussels (Belgium). Veghel The Netherlands should be discussed. Fluency in both English and French language is must. Dutch is a bonus.
The position reports to the CA Director and works in coordination with global External and Internal Communication peers and with Mars Petcare strategies and platforms. You will also co-pilot the Digital Marketing Team to shape social media strategy and reputation online.
Drive intentionally the Royal Canin Culture and the Five Principles strategies. Executing initiatives that engage internal stakeholders towards ambassadorship on Health Nutrition, the Royal Canin 2025 vision, OGSM platform, and increase advocacy for our segment, business and brands.
Develop and drive the internal and external communication strategies and tactics that will engage and inspire associates, customer and consumers.
Manage strategically internal communication tools and channels e.g. MVP, LT Meetings/townhalls, monthly update, etc.
Develop and execute publicity efforts including identifying newsworthy opportunities, drafting publicity releases and media responses and meeting communications.
Identify and monitor relevant KPIs
Manage the ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of issues and events that can either positively or negatively impact the brands at the regional and global level.
Provide strategic guidance to the development and execution of 360 degree PR and Social Media programs for Royal Canin that build brand equity, support brand business objectives and shape brand reputation.
Co-pilot with Digital Marketing Team to shape social media strategy and reputation online.
Context & Scope:
The Communications Coordinator is accountable for Royal Canin (and where relevant, segment) internal and Royal Canin external communications in the Belgian and Dutch market. The job holder reports to the local Corporate Affairs Director and works in coordination with Global Royal Canin and Mars Petcare strategies and platforms.
The role defines, develops, delivers and measures (strategic) activities with support to and from other functions. Managing relevant support agencies on the campaigns and communication materials within budget.
Education & Professional Qualifications
MA/BA in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field or proven experience in relevant field.
Relevant professional qualification
Knowledge / Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications and/or PR and a track record of implementing PR programs which achieved measurable results
Excellent project management and organization skills, combined with the ability to handle many tasks simultaneously, working under pressure and delivering within tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written including the ability to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of the organization.
Leadership and Business Communications: fluency in English and French is a must (Dutch a bonus) and copy writing experience essential.
Digital media communication knowledge and experience.
Proven ability to get a variety of internal clients to provide quick and appropriate information.
Knowledge of pet care industry and current influences would be useful.
