    Clinical Trial Management On-Boarding and Training Manager

    The GTC On-Boarding & Training Manager is responsible for supporting the Functional Managers in the recruiting, on-boarding, and training of new Global Trial Coordination resources. Ensuring flex providers and JNJ talent acquisition receive advanced notice of any new resource requirements, triages incoming profiles, and provides feedback, as appropriate. Ensures the onboarding is properly planned and executed in close consultation with the Functional Managers, IT, departmental admins and other partners.

    Develops and maintains GTC training curriculum, ensuring it is up to date with relevant processes/systems, driving new-hire training assignment and completion, providing mentorship on applicable processes and systems, as well as, organizational structure and company culture. Acts as business owner for assigned processes and Subject Matter Expert (SME) working groups. Proactively drives continuous process improvements and development of related on-going training/tool development for current staff.

    Support GTC Management in development and timely delivery of key performance, quality, and new hire metrics for the GTC organization. Influences departmental decisions, as appropriate, and understands/aligns with long-term business needs. Takes a key role in ensuring quality focus in the GTC organization. Participates in or leads other projects initiatives and cross-functional work groups, as assigned. Mentors and coaches less experienced/junior staff.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Interacts regularly with CTM FMs and GTC Leadership to determine needs for additional resources in support of Supply/Demand. Runs reports and metrics related to capacity management, as the need arises.
    • Acts as the point of contact for Talent Acquisition and Flex Providers, informing them of the requirements for resource needs. Screens incoming profiles and performs a prequalification. Reviews qualified profiles with CTM FMs, organizes meetings/interviews. Ensuring that a consistent approach is taken in the identification and selection of resources.
    • Liaises with local HR/IT/departmental admins and external service provider team, as appropriate, to facilitate onboarding of new individuals.
    • Providing guidance on training prioritization in line with assigned projects/activities and in close collaboration with the CTM FMs. Acts as a go-to person for training related questions.
    • Providing clarification on processes or alternatively seeks advice from assigned process owners or SME's
    • Coordinating new employees through onboarding process, including training on systems overview and internal partner/functional area overview. Ensures the assignment of a buddy/coach.
    • Supporting training development and delivery for new hires and current staff, including on J&J systems as appropriate.
    • Centralizes feedback acquired during the onboarding process, sees opportunities for improvement, and collaborate closely with appropriate functions to motivate change.
    • Acting as a business owner for assigned processes, collaborates closely with Business & Process group to feeding back on existing processes, initiates/leads/supports process improvement initiatives and develops and delivers communications or trainings, as applicable.
    • Ensures GTC training curriculum is up to date. Monitors external environment and process/systems changes impacting GTC job requirements and ensure any required changes are implemented in the training and onboarding.
    • Supports opportunities for development and growth of GTC staff.
    • Demonstrates effective leadership to proactively drive the GTC OBT Team through key projects to meet deliverables

    Qualifications

    Do you meet the education and experience requirements?

    • Extensive Clinical Trial management experience
    • Expert knowledge of ICH Guidelines; familiar with FDA regulations and the EU Clinical Trial Directive and other applicable GCP regulations
    • In dept knowledge of the corporate structure and culture is required.
    • Strong networking and relationship building skills. Ability to build an open and inviting environment; Embraces generational differences;
    • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
    • Shown coaching and mentoring skills.
    • Able to transfer knowledge to others in team or department applying knowledge of how to deliver training sessions for maximum impact and retention.
    • Able to independently plan, organize, coordinate, manage and execute assigned tasks.
