You are responsible for
Generating ideas for future features and technologies (innovations) that would give a competitive advantage to EPD in the EP market
Developing and testing these ideas together with Key Opinion Leaders in the field
Generating evidence that proves the safety and efficacy of our innovations
Collaborating with R&D and Marketing on this
Ensuring his/her expertise and deep insights in the field through desk research, Medical Advisory Boards, frequent clinical visits and Conference participation.
You are a part of
Philips EPD Solutions, a recently acquired venture with ambitious plans for growth, developing a disruptive technology, which will improve the efficiency and efficacy of life-saving cardiac ablation procedures treating among others atrial fibrillation. EPD’s technology has the potential to address the key unmet need of real-time therapy assessment, which is one of the more significant limitations of the current standard of care. We aim to help to improve outcomes for millions of people and help maintain the rapidly rising cost of managing the disease. Having obtained CE mark and 510k approval in 2018, we are launching our commercial products in Europe and US and are seek seeking regulatory approvals around the world.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
MD, Masters and/or PhD degree in biomedical or other relevant engineering, preferably cardiovascular research experience with clinical trial research experience in a hospital environment and/or at least 1-3 years’ work experience in the industry.
10+ years directly related experience in clinical/scientific experience including leadership or management role within the electrophysiology domain
Knowledge of and experience with different imaging modalities in cardiology and electrophysiology
Strong leadership skills and creative and analytical abilities
Flexibility and an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to drive success in a start-up environment
A ‘hands-on’ approach and good communication skills and are able to communicate well with all stakeholders
Willingness to travel abroad to visit Hospitals and congresses
