You are responsible for
Establish thought leadership on the topic of Sustainability and Circular Economy at XD, supporting the company's commitments across the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) dimensions.
Consistently using people-driven aspects as a starting point for building meaningful solutions.
Collaborating closely with Group Sustainability, business clusters & businesses within Philips, as well as with our customers, like-minded front-runners, (non-) governmental organizations, and other stakeholders, such as the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, to drive the adoption of circular thinking.
Identifying required information and research, through internal network-building.
Analyzing information to form a significant understanding of the context, articulating meaningful insights, and framing corresponding opportunities and interventions.
Building and maintaining domain knowledge within the core of our clusters and businesses, and developing deep knowledge of Philips’ processes to understand how to drive circularity.
You are a part of
The Design team, which is a global creative team part of Philips Innovation & Strategy. We are tasked with leading and delivering design innovation across the Philips businesses and markets. As a Design Strategist, you will work in multidisciplinary teams, teaming up with colleagues in the business as well as colleagues at Philips Research and Philips Group Sustainability.
The Philips Design global creative force of 400+ professionals is located in our Design studios in Europe, North America and Asia which includes competences such as interaction design, data-enabled design, service design, people/trend research, communication design, product design.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
You have a bachelor or master degree in (Strategic) Design, Business, Science or Engineering with excellent academic track record; a master’s degree in business administration is a plus, yet is not mandatory.
A respected thought leader in the field of Circular Economy, with a track record of establishing the topic on the agenda of decision makers across business, government and academia.
You have minimum 5+ years of work experience.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at an individual and group level, to develop team members and colleagues in business and technology and choose the right communication style or influencing tools.
Understanding of the policies and regulatory landscape in the area of sustainability.
Solid understanding on product development and production technologies and product lifecycles.
Awareness of and passionate about the latest technology trends, especially in the digital domain.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Excellent analytical skills, and at the same time enjoys working creatively and hands-on in a dynamic and multidisciplinary setting.
