We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Channel Sales Manager to join our Enterprise Business Unit team in Amsterdam. In this role you will be responsible for the recruitment and development of channel partners for our location-based services. You will support these channel partners during the onboarding and help them to grow their business with us. The right person for this role will have experience working in channel sales combined with business development skills in setting up new types of businesses.
What youll do
Develop and communicate a clear and concise channel sales strategy for your regions in the European market
Qualify potential channel partners, create proposals, negotiate commercial conditions with them and ensure successful onboarding
Develop business plans with individuals channel partners outlining success metrics, goals, and activities to drive accelerated growth and partner satisfaction
Collaborate with channel partners to identify and understand partner-initiated sales opportunities and drive the sales pipeline
Support channel partners with end-customer projects ensuring successful implementations leading to high customer satisfaction both for the channel partner and end-customer
Work with product marketing, finance, customer program management, and the product units to create and sharpen our channel offering
Maintain relationships with decision-makers at the executive and management levels
Build a strong product knowledge of TomTom Product offerings and being able to use this knowledge to build convincing propositions and proposals for our channel partners and their end-customers
Develop relationships with Product Units to ensure European market needs are addressed
Define KPIs to track progress, take corrective actions when necessary, and achieve sales objectives
Evangelize TomToms channel strategy and value proposition and create awareness within our target market
Maintain the TomTom CRM (Salesforce.com) regarding sales pipeline, account activity, and revenue forecasts
What youll need
To be successful as a Channel Sales Manager, this is the kind of profile we have in mind
Bachelors degree preferably in Business, Engineering or Computer Science
A minimum of 5 years of experience in channel sales in the software or cloud industry
Hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
A clear understanding of channel partner business models, channel programs, pricing models, channel marketing, and a proven track record of recruiting new channel partners
Demonstrated ability to analyze the market, create new value propositions and implement them leading to successful new business
Experience and comfortable to engage with c-level and different stakeholders across customers organizations
Experience with location technology, location-based services, and Maps APIs and the key players in this market
Effective communicator, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent team player
Self-motivated, driven and results-oriented
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
Produce high quality and accurate work consistently
Experience using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce
Fluent in English and preferably also German and Dutch
Ability to travel on a regular basis
