    Central Operations Manager (Marketplace Analytics), EMEA

    About the Role

    The Marketplace team within Central Operations is responsible for driving business impact through data-driven insights, combining marketplace intelligence with key marketplace levers such as pricing, investments, and marketplace configurations. Through its regular processes, the team deep dives into various marketplace issues and supports optimization of pricing and other configurations, and if needed, the implementation of investments either on the rider or driver side.

    The Central Operations Manager role with a focus on marketplace analytics supports the team by proactively exploring data, often focusing on understanding the exact dynamics driving a specific situation or the corresponding rider-driver behavior. In this role, you would drive the entire execution cycle of defining the problem and analytical approach, getting the required data, manipulating and analyzing the data for business insights, and presenting the findings in an organized and structured manner. You would work in a team of Marketplace specialists who would support with the required business context or problem framing in metrics & methodology.

    What You'll Do

    • Work with the broader Marketplace team and deep dive into priority business problems from a very wide spectrum and huge business impact
    • Define the problem, the approach, and the expected outcomes for the problem
    • Work with internal analytical tools to get the required data, perform the analysis, consolidate & present the results
    • With the broader team, interpret the results and participate in discussions over the applications & implications of the findings

    What You'll Need

    • At least 3+ years of proven experience in data analytics, operations and strategy
    • Strong technical skills (experienced with SQL and Google Sheets/Excel and comfortable with programming language such as Python or R)
    • Strong analytical skills (experience working with large datasets and using statistics & modeling and analytical methods to analyze these datasets)
    • Strong problem solving skills (ability to think proactively to understand, break down, and define sophisticated problems, including the approach and the expected outcome)
    • Great communication skills (ability to interpret the data and consolidate and communicate the findings in an easily understandable manner)
