Are you the Software Designer who is eager to learn and apply agile principles to expand ASML’s fastest growing business? As developer in an ASML software team, you will be responsible for developing code to realize the needed software functionality to help grow our business.

You have the required experience with Object Oriented software development to be able to guide the evolution of the YieldStar software applications in your scope. You like working in an agile software development context using modern software technologies such as C#.

You will be part of the Recipe Management software development team of ASML. A YieldStar metrology machine has many different settings that define what and how to inspect on a wafer. These settings are stored in a so-called recipe. Recipes can be created and updated not only via a user interface, but also via automation. The Recipe Management software team makes sure that this is feasible in an easy user friendly way, whilst maintaining compatibility and consistency. There are ties with many parts of the software of Business Line Applications and, as such, also interfaces with multiple teams.
Act as scrum team member
Demonstrate end-to-end ownership for feature/story based software engineering
Align specifications with stakeholders in the function team and the software platform lead
Secure both software and product quality
Ensure adequate fit of software deliverables in the YieldStar software platform
Software realization, including design, testing and documentation
Act as buddy in pair-programming
Contribute to continuous improvement of our Agile software development for the software department as a whole
Transfer knowledge to colleagues in both D&E and sectors supporting operations (e.g. Customer support)
BSc or MSc in computer science, mathematics, physics, mechanics, or electronics.
5 years in object oriented development of technical software for high-tech equipment
2 years of experience with Agile/scrum. Extensive experience with pair programming is a pro
3 years of experience with C#
Up to date knowledge of and experience with recent versions of the .NET framework
Familiar with software architecture concepts and (anti-)patterns
Knowledge and understanding of agile methodology/ideology and scrum in particular
Active listening, giving feedback
Strives for continuous improvements, makes suggestions and encourage team members
Strong analytical view combined with pragmatic attitude (flexibility)
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and good knowledge of English
