Would you like to contribute to the development and optimization of the food delivery activities at Just Eat Takeaway.com? And do you like working in an international environment, in a highly competitive and fast growing market? Then this is your job!
Our story (the bitesize version)
Since our first delivery in 2000, we've grown from a small business in the Netherlands to become a global food delivery giant, as Just Eat Takeaway.com. We now operate in 140+ across 23 countries, from Berlin to Brisbane!
Expansion has been a key part of our story, from adding great new restaurants to launching ‘Scoober' – our driver logistics and operations business – in new cities. That's where you come in…
All about the role
In the food delivery business it is all about planning and forecasting. With an accurate demand forecast the right number of people can be hired, enough bikes and bags can be ordered and of course a solid work planning of our couriers can be made. The business planner plays a crucial role in this process. Working together with the City Operating Managers, the plan team, recruitment and the global forecasting team, the business planner is a spider in the web. This person reports directly to the country manager operations. Your daily work includes:
Responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of the order delivery in The Netherlands
Analyzing KPIs as well as tracking the daily business and adjusting accordingly
Preparing forecasts, demand planning
Establishing and maintaining relationships with different stakeholders in the organization
Spotting trends in the developments and shifting the business based on this information
Offering advice on a strategic level to stakeholders within the business
Participating and taking the lead in new projects related to both the growth of the business as well as process improvements
Conducting field as well as desk research
Last mile delivery is only at the beginning of further optimizing processes and utilizing data and technology. The perfect moment to jump on board!
