Position Description:
Your job as a Business Development Manager Graphic Arts
As part of a global team we offer you the opportunity to work at Canon Production Print Headquarters as a liaison between the Graphic Arts (GA)/commercial print (CP) market and the Canon organization. In close collaboration with Canon sales companies you get the chance to provide sound guidance for adequate business and support model definition, solution design, as well as for sales enablement to inspire and support our customers’ embrace of digital inkjet technology.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Act as GA-CP subject matter expert for organizational development and business support
- Provide structural market feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology, solution integration, and services that yield competitive advantage
- Help define and implement business and support models for digital print that best resonate with the GA market while in alignment with our business goals
- Develop and communicate GA value propositions to regional Sales organizations and end users
- Maintain a strong network in the graphic arts market and represent Canon in relevant industry organizations and customer advisory teams
Who are we looking for
Strategic and creative thinking, affinity for technology, and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends in GA beyond print and familiar with a variety of business concepts. If you are also an excellent communicator with a strong industry network, we’d like to meet you.
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience in a CTO or business management role responsible for technology investment decisions and innovation at a commercial print service provider or relevant business development experience at a manufacturer/supplier of GA print equipment
- In-depth understanding of the market needs in the graphic arts / commercial print
- At least a bachelor in Printing Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Sales, Marketing or equivalent
- Experience in working in international, multi-cultural environments is a plus
- Is inspirational and motivational person who develops and coaches others
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and preferably at least one other European language
- Willing to travel in Europe and at times overseas
This job is located in Venlo, Limburg, The Netherlands or Poing, Germany and can mostly be performed remotely.
