    Business / Data Analyst for Model Data Remediation

    In a Data Quality team of a bank we are looking for a professional for the period of 12 months with possibility of extension, to support the historical default data collection, data analysis and data remediation for the business domain. The candidate will be working in a project team environment with highly experienced professionals and different stakeholders within data management, modelling and front office. Knowledge in banking processes, especially for front office lending activities next to data management is a must. Given the COVID19 situation, the team works from home, at least for the upcoming period.

    As a Business / Data Analyst you will work on the following activities:

    • Thorough analysis and articulation of credit risk model data requirements, identification and understanding of specific data quality issues to ensure effective delivery data to the users.
    • Closely work and cooperation with colleagues from the BU Portfolio team, Model Development, Model Data teams, other data quality teams and with the Front Office representatives in the local business units across the globe
    • Coordination of collection of remediated data from data owners
    • Perform data quality checks on the critical data elements for model data and identify the main data quality issues that require remediation for the historical data
    • Perform the root cause analysis of identified data quality issues and define the remediation actions
    • Closely cooperate with other data quality teams to leverage on existing remediation practices and implement lessons learned into the PD Remediation Squad
    • Look and search at alternative (external) data sources that can help to close the gaps in the data (e.g. missing or wrong values)
    • Report the results of the remediation efforts in a comprehensive manner to senior management

    Expertise required:
    • Some years of experience in a data analysis oriented function. An advantage is experience with dealing with WB portfolios (Front office and/or Credit Risk);
    • Knowledge and understanding on the flow of data in the credit risk and modelling processes
    • Critical mind-set with respect to what is delivered
    • Strong communicator and presentations skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Good team player
    • Fluency in English both written and verbal (work language) Dutch is a big plus

    Work location: Work from Home/remote; later on Amsterdam office part-time
