    Oikocredit International (OI) is looking for a Business Controller (full-time) to be based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.

    The Business Controller is part of the Portfolio & Business Control team composed of diverse colleagues in a variety of roles including Non-Financial Risk Officers, Financial Risk Analysts and Social Performance Analysists.

    Responsibilities

    Within the Portfolio & Business Control team, you will work side by side with the other Business Controller. As a Business Controller, you will act as an advisor and partner to the Management Board as well as the different business units. You will be in charge of providing strategic advice and further developing the business control function. Your responsibilities will be as follows:

    • Support and monitor strategy implementation by combining different internal and external data sources
    • Perform independent assessment on business performance by using and combining different data sources
    • Discuss on monthly basis the performance of OI or a specific unit with MB and respective business units
    • Preparing the monthly and quarterly management reports, in collaboration with Financial Accounting, client facing teams and Operations teams
    • Collecting information to prepare the budgets and to guide the process of decision making on budgets and forecasts at portfolio and cost level
    • Together with the Financial Risk Analyst, monitoring the development finance portfolio, limits, margins and financial performance
    • Providing input for strategy, policy development and on the annual report
    • The Loan Pricing Model tool and process
    • Contributing to the further development of the database systems in close cooperation with IT and Financial Accounting

    Education and experience

    • Masters’ degree in the field of economics, preferably combined with a Controlling certification
    • At least six years’ experience in a Business Controller position
    • Experience working in the financial services industry
    • Experience working in international environments
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience in working with Power BI
    • Experience in data management and leading or participation in cross functional projects
    • Being familiar with financial and social reporting requirements, and prospectus requirements are a plus
    • German or Spanish speaking is a nice add on
