Business Analyst – Transportation
As a Business Analyst you will support our Laboratories Transportation Department by preparing data for analytics and reports, performing analysis, maintaining supplier service and rates agreements as well as processing invoices for auditing and coding. Moreover, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing tools to support these processes as well as suggesting and implementing process improvements. In addition, you will also have the responsibility of monitoring and analyzing financial performance and be the driving force for service expansion initiatives to increase customer satisfaction, improve service levels and accelerate revenue growth. This position will report to the Transportation Analyst Manager and offers a great opportunity to further develop your business skills and to really grow as a Business Analyst!
In this Role
Besides contract management particularly from an administrative perspective, it is also your role to perform, monitor and optimize the courier invoice auditing process. Any process efficiency improvements that you identify will need to be documented and shared with other invoice auditors in the transportation department. It will also be your responsibility to ensure that these documents are maintained accordingly, are always up to date and can easily be accessed.
Providing insights in the financial and service performance of our transportation network through KPIs and metrics is one of the key elements of this role. You will be responsible for preparing these metrics as well as reviewing together with Regional Transportation Managers in order to understand drivers for KPI changes, identify savings opportunities as well as monitor and improve service performance. On top of this, you will provide insights to identify and initiate service expansion initiatives in order to support IDEXX business growth.
You will keep the centralized storage of supplier agreements (e.g. rates, SLA, payment terms) up to date and ensure vendor rate sheet is in compliance with (contractual) agreements
You will perform invoice auditing, which includes ensuring invoice follows (contractual) agreements, resolving non-compliance issues, suggesting and implementing corrective and preventive action to avoid reoccurrence as well as supporting dispute management
You will prepare monthly financial and service performance metrics and KPI reports, explain reason for changes and work with stakeholders to improve results where needed
You will be the driving force for service expansion initiatives
You will propose, develop and implement process improvements
You will standardize reporting, analysis and transportation related processes where applicable
You will support our Finance department with strategic plan, Budget and Forecast process
You will perform ad hoc analyses as required

What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this role you should be proactive and self-steering. We expect you to demonstrate experiences in an international organization where you worked well independently as well as in a team. Ideally, you’ve performed 3-5 years on positions involving financial administration, analysis and/or audit with at least 1 year experience in business analysis.
As personal traits, you need to be organized, structured, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. You communicate well in English. 3-5 years experience in Finance with 1 year experience in Business Analysis
Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Finance, Logistics, or Economics
High accuracy and attention to detail
Passionate about working with Excel (VBA, Pivot tables)
Experience with Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI or similar would be beneficial
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint and Teams)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions
Ability to work with limited supervision
