Business Analyst / Consultant for the Data Office of Risk and Finance

    Your new job!

The COO Risk & Finance department (COORF) delivers Finance & Risk related services to its stakeholders, i.e. Group Finance, Risk, countries’ CFOs and Wholesale Banking, Tax and Bank Treasury. These services encompass operations and change initiatives for all COORF services: accounting, reporting, credit risk, management reporting & analytics, ALM and tax utilities, data foundation and business advice services, including system, process, data and information management and analytics capabilities. By design, the services are reliable, secure and in control. Change is delivered in accordance with the Risk & Finance strategy and implementation and decommissioning roadmap.

Working for the Data Office of Risk and Finance means that you work in a small team, to service many colleagues in COORF and beyond. We are all data-minded and closely connected to the data initiatives and developments on ING Group level. We have expertise of external and internal regulations and are committed to implement our data target.

We are looking for a committed data believer who is willing to help us lead ING towards that data-driven future. Do you understand that data helps build top notch models and ensures proper reporting to regulators? Then we are looking for you!

    What you will be doing

Your tasks will be quite diverse. We have some nice and interesting challenges that need attention.

    • Master and reference data. To standardize data and definitions as much as possible within Risk and Finance at ING, having good and reliable master and reference data is a must. We need to come to one set of global master and reference data that is centrally maintained and used throughout ING. Besides this, all data needs a clear owner who feels responsible for the data.
    • Historical data. In order to be able to support our modeling colleagues, we need lots of historical data, i.e. data of enough quality and under governance in a way we can use it as a solid foundation for the Risk-models.
    • Another task we foresee is that you will also focus on more detailed data requirements, data definitions & mappings for BCBS239, KYC, and GDPR related background topics. As an example: we need to implement the GDPP controls within COORF (e.g. retention schedules) and are constantly working on defining our most critical data elements.
    • Finally, governance around our data becomes more and more important. You will be involved in many bigger or smaller strategic data initiatives on data governance, our target data environment and way we communicate and promote our data strategy.

As said, the tasks you will perform are divers. These tasks will change over time but will always be around data and making sure that we lead COORF and ING towards a data-driven future.
