    ABOUT THE ROLE

    We are looking for an ambitious Brand Manager for Gucci fragrances, Gucci Beauty, and Marc Jacobs. Gucci is a leading international fashion brand and has a strong portfolio of fragrances, with well-known icons such as Gucci Guilty, and Gucci Bloom. Two years ago, Gucci Beauty make-up was introduced, with as inspiration the following powerful words spoken by creative director Alessandro Michele “beauty has no boundaries, no rules, no colors”. Gucci Beauty, with its beautiful vintage-inspired packaging, is striving to be the most aspirational and inspirational make-up brand. Marc Jacobs is the one and only American high fashion brand, mixing the high and the low to find luxury in the everyday. This brand is the gateway to luxury fragrances for young women worldwide.

    As the Brand Manager for these brands you are responsible for defining the long-term strategy, the growth objectives, and goals to meet these objectives. You are responsible for building and executing marketing plans that will boost the market share of this brand, while working closely with other teams, such as PR / Influencer Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain. Your main goal is to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
    You will have 2 direct reports: 1 Junior Trade Manager and 1 intern. You will also have support from the marketing assistant. The position is based at our office in Schiphol, World Trade Center. You will report to the Marketing Manager Luxury Fragrances, Skincare and Make-up.

    Your main responsibilities:
    • P&L ownership
    • Accountable for total brand performance, sell-in and sell-out
    • Define and execute yearly Plan including outlined vision, objectives, strategy, and tactics
    • Define and execute annual media strategy with the media agency and with our PR/Influencer team (incl PR agency)
    • Collaborate with all other departments and external parties, agencies, suppliers, media partners
    • Create best in class 360 launch plans
    • Define and manage brand product portfolio
    • Manage marketing budget effectively, seeking optimal return on investment
    • Manages daily/weekly relationship with Global team (eg license approvals)
    • Establish and validate PO/PR invoices and ensure follow-up
    • Brand Champion: the one who knows everything about the brand
    • Grow your team members in their role
    WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    To be successful in this role, you will bring solid professional expertise in operational marketing, and consumer and market insights.

    Key requirements:
    • 5+ years’ experience in Marketing, experience within FMCG / the beauty industry is an advantage
    • Experience in managing P&L
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong Commercial sense to ensure actionability of results and influencing successfully across locations.
    • Team player with strong passion for winning and a bias for action You believe in strong collaboration, leverage diversity of thinking and love to win. You are future oriented, are not bounded by the status-quo but recognize what can be improved and have a bias for action.
    • Strong communication (Verbal and written) and presentation ability. Ability to work across different levels in the organization and across different teams to ensure everyone is updated on key timelines and/or decisions
    • Ability to drive clarity and Agility: You don’t get easily stressed by a fluid environment, on the opposite, you get energized by the opportunity to drive clarity for the team, you are quick to adapt as new information becomes available.
    • Experience of managing budgets and working with suppliers to ensure actionable results, on time, best cost
    • Fluent in Dutch and English
