    BioAnalytics Account Manager

    BioAnalytics Account Manager

    As a BioAnalytics Account Manager (Netherlands based), you will be on the front lines to maintain and grow the animal health monitoring laboratory business, as well as expand the preclinical research and biologic material testing services segments of the business within the academic and government markets; along with the Pharma/Biotech markets. Your responsibility will be for the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark & Iceland.


    IDEXX BioAnalytics’ scientific expertise takes a novel approach to the discovery of new diagnostic tests that supplement a robust portfolio of products and services. We partner with Pharma, BioTech, and Academia (the scientific community) to improve animal and human health.


    In this field sales role, your responsibilities will include cultivating long-term relationships with key opinion leaders in your territory to garner business in support of preclinical research projects and increasing the research animal health monitoring laboratory business - both maintaining and growing.

    Your customers will include principal investigators, laboratory animal veterinarians, research core facility managers and research lab managers. Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships offering solutions to meet our customers' unique needs.


    What you can expect in this role?

      You will leverage your ability to independently manage your territory and customer base in order to increase the recurring revenue year over as well as attain quarterly targets. You’ll be responsible for selling IDEXX Preclinical and Research animal health Monitoring Lab services; together with Biologics Testing and Cell-line authenticity.
      Establish and maintain relationships of existing and potential customers, including preparing and following up on quotations and bids.
      Deliver seminar-type presentations to individuals or groups of potential and existing customers on our complete range of services, including hands on product demonstrations.
      Responsible for translating customer needs into custom profiles with the assistance of IDEXX study coordinators and technical research staff.
      You’ll be expected to achieve and maintain technical knowledge and situational fluency of the BioAnalytics Market.
      You will present IDEXX's values to our customers in a professional manner, including an understanding of our industry, veterinary practice, customers, technology, operations and processes.
      You will have the opportunity to attend trade shows and other educational events in the region.


    What you need to succeed

      You possess bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience in life sciences.
      You have three or more years of proven experience successfully managing your own sales territory with a consultative approach; excellent communication skills are a must – you build rapport easily.
      If your background is within the veterinary industry or you have a diagnostic/research laboratory background – this is advantageous.
      You are able to work well with others in a highly team oriented, collaborative, sales environment as well as work well independently – you’re highly self-motivated.
      Your work ethic is a key strength, you’re passionate and enthusiastic about this niche opportunity & driven to succeed.
      You are able to meet the requirements of a field sales role that include but are not limited to extensive car travel (company car provided), travel overnight if needed, as well as flexibility for potential weekend work to attend tradeshows or other occasion meeting, and are able to lift up to 60 pounds. Travel is up to 60% of the role.
      You speak fluent Dutch & fluent business English.
