Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other renewable activities such as solar PV and batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
We are looking for a Bid Developer / Bid Manager who will be responsible for delivering high quality bids in international auctions for offshore wind projects.

Overall purpose of your role
The Bids department is part of the Market Development function within Business Unit Offshore wind. The main responsibility of the department is to lead all Vattenfall offshore development projects in Europe from initiation until hand over to the construction department. A key milestone in the project development phase is to prepare a bid in highly competitive auction processes set up by the respective countries governments to secure the construction rights of the respective project. The bids typically have a high focus on the financial aspects of the wind farm combined with in-depth information on environmental, technical, supply chain and permit components.
In this role, you will work across projects and across countries and initially focus on bid development tasks including:
Performing strategy and competition analyses.
Capturing and implementing cross project and cross market learnings
Method and structure development including interacting with other parts of the Vattenfall organization (Wind Farm Design, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Markets, Risk etc.)
Preparing bid material and leading a cross-disciplinary team that feeds into the bid
Preparing decision material
Leading ad hoc business development projects
For the right candidate, there will also be an opportunity to initiate a project management and leadership career aiming at eventually taking full, personal project management responsibility for a complete, cross-functional, cross-cultural and capital intense offshore wind project. Initial steps for such development is to allocate part of the time entering an ongoing offshore development project as an Associate project manager with tasks typically including:
Supporting the Project director with all project management related tasks.
Combine on-the-job experience with targeted project management trainings to develop into an advanced level project manager.
Your Essential Qualifications
For this position we are looking for a strong writer and someone who can convince people on paper, as well as during a presentation. Someone with strong communication skills and interested in the world of offshore. You are able to help out the team with ad hoc tasks and immprovements. Also you have the following:
University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar.
3 to 5 years work experience.Experience in management consultancy is considered an advantage
International and cross-cultural interest and experience
Interested in developing in project management and as a leaderA fluency in English. Other core market languages are an additional advantage
