    Corporate Audit's mission is to provide high quality, insightful and timely reassurance to the leadership of Unilever on the risks that could impact Unilever's vision to be the leader in sustainable business. We do this with a diverse, global and forward looking team.

    A role in Corporate Audit provides an unparalleled opportunity to deepen functional skills (Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales & IT), develop a deep knowledge of business & operational risk/control management and governance across geographies, functions and categories. You will develop leadership skills, stakeholder management skills, influencing skills & communication skills and better understanding of Unilever’s Corporate Governance.

    We do not have lifetime Auditors in our team; candidates stay in Audit roles for a limited time, after which they progress to other (finance) roles within the organization, fully leveraging on the steep learning curve in Corporate Audit.


    In this role you will be part of a multi-functional and multi-cultural team auditing business units, supply chain units and categories. The Audit Manager Finance will:

    • Bring an in-depth knowledge of finance processes and practices to the audit teams
    • Identify key risks in finance and evaluate the key controls that mitigate these risks, identify any weaknesses and develop recommendations to address these
    • Identify and disseminate good practices
    • Train other auditors in finance processes and practices
    • Participate in the global finance Knowledge Network
    • Lead/participate in cross-functional audit work globally


    Auditing: Delivery of high-quality audits by evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of controls across multiple functional areas and business units.

    Audit planning: All aspects of audit planning including discussions with unit management to understand business context, identification of key risks and proposal of audit scope/plan.

    Audit Team leadership: Leading teams by working with the Audit Director on the day to day running of an audit, including monitoring the progress and completion of the audit plan, presenting updates to relevant stakeholders and publishing the audit report.

    Finance Knowledge Network: setting the agenda for landing changes & improving the impact and insight of our audits by liaising with Centres of Excellence (content/process owners) on audit findings, identifying good practices/ functional issues/developments, capability building and internal & external benchmarking.

    Self and Team Development: Develop, commit to and action a future fit self-development plan, proactively contribute to the development of others in the team by playing a ‘buddy’ and coaching role.


    • Professional finance qualification equivalent to CA, CIMA, ACCA.
    • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in financial/accounting roles (in FMCG is a plus), ideally in a managerial role with a track-record of successful performance.
    • Strong and proven Accounting Skills
    • Interest in both Audit and Finance roles within Unilever
    • Strong communication and presentation skills. Fluent spoken and written English is required.
    • Problem-solving skills, ability to make reliable and objective judgments and conclusions
    • Strategic Influencing – ability to influence across all levels of the organization and shared Centre of Excellence
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize large amounts of data into clear, concise findings
