The Office of Consumer Medical Safety is an independent organisation within Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, safeguarding the well-being of our patients and consumers through robust product vigilance and medical oversight of Benefit/ Risk for all J&J Consumer sector products. OCMS together with the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Safety Organizations is a part of the J&J Office of Chief Medical Officer (OCMO). The OCMO, “with patients and consumers at the heart of it all“ leads product safety strategy for all J&J products and ensures that an Enterprise Safety Standard guides all three sectors to excel in medical safety science, deliver independent, objective and evidence-based assessments of product safety and drive innovation. The OCMO invests in employee talent and fosters a culture that enables employees to develop, grow, and be at their best every day.
As Associate Regional Medical Safety Officer YOU will:
Be a safety expert who provides safety oversight, for your allocated region, for the Consumer portfolio of products, throughout the life cycle of the products, including new product development.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
Safety evaluations and clinical insights contributing to the completion of the regional safety deliverables for the J&J Consumer Health portfolio;
Identification, communication and management of potential and known safety risks
Cross-functional collaboration within and outside OCMS
Influence and work effectively with business partners and colleagues.
A vocal and visible champion of safety insights as a key input into product development and post market safety surveillance strategy
Work alongside the Regional MSO to partner and align with regional cross functional business partners;
Generate relevant safety assessments and reviews for your allocated region, for the Consumer portfolio of products, throughout the life cycle of the products, including new product development
We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:
MD degree (required)
At least 3 years clinical or industry experience
Ability to analyze, interpret and present complex data in a concise and understandable scientific manner, both orally and in written format
Attention to detail; diligence in record-keeping and records organization;
Ability to manage high workload and critical issues
Computer-literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented working style with ability to work independently to create and deliver;
Ability to thrive in a global, cross-functional environment
