The Fund Management team is responsible for developing and managing sustainable impact funds, as well as other facilities, vehicles and platforms for investments in climate action. Our scope of expertise covers a variety of topics related to sustainable land-use, low-carbon energy, climate-smart cities and/or clean technology, to name just a few. The goal of the Analyst is to support the implementation of international, regional or local projects, the preparation of funding proposals and the development of new products for corporate, financial and public sectors. This involves a variety of tasks, such as research, information analysis and writing deliverables and proposals. You will mainly contribute to supporting project teams with medium-sized and large fund or platform mandates but will also be expected to manage small projects yourself occasionally.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Assist on analytical tasks for funds & platforms throughout the entire project cycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.
Plan and implement tasks to ensure the most efficient and highest-quality implementation.
Occasionally manage small projects yourself, coordinating with the client and taking care of technical and administrative requirements.
Support the development of funding proposals for the corporate, financial and public sectors in close collaboration with the Key Account Management team and with senior technical and investment professionals.
Develop and improve specialised skills and knowledge linked to the topics and services offered by South Pole.
University degree in a sustainability-related field.
Relevant work experience (the expectation is a minimum of 6 months including internships) in sustainability consulting or related fields.
Ability to conduct research tasks and analyse and summarise data.
Ability to manage small projects in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geographies context.
Some knowledge of potential clients, collaborators or other relevant stakeholders.
Good writing skills, with the ability to contribute to high-quality written documents (proposals and deliverables).
Good communication and collaboration skills with clients, team members and other relevant stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written skills in English
Relevant work experience in fund or platform management, sustainability consulting, grant/investment management, knowledge management, stakeholder engagement or other related fields;
Analytical skills and mindset.
Good working knowledge of all Google Suite applications and MS Word.
Diligent, reliable and proactive.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment.
Good prioritisation and time management skills.
