Introduction: The EMEA/APAC banking analyst is a key member of the Global Liquidity and Cash Management team within Corporate Treasury. With operations in 60 countries, the Treasury team is focused on reducing banking relationships, selecting best fit services, reducing operational risk, and standardizing processes related to bank account administration (signers, users, access). This position will partner with our banking providers and local controllers with a focus on EMEA and APAC. This position will evolve over time to incorporate the changing needs of the business units we support and the initiatives of the Treasury team.
Manage all bank account opening, closing and modification requests
Responsible for completing requests with Nielsen’s core banking providers
System administrator for online banking platforms and treasury systems (user creations, access modifications, and user deletions)
As a subject matter expert, continuously develop better ways to keep systems up to date and provide efficient response and resolution times to business units
Together with the Cash Analyst, understand the cash operations of each entity for the countries within your region. Research and recommend best fit banking products and structure and execute these recommendations.
Support integration of newly acquired companies on banking related activities
Ensure that Treasury has Power of Attorney for all Legal Entities and register it with banks via updating the Authorized Signers.
Maintain relationships with bank service and implementation teams. Develop standardization and turn-around-times on bank's processes.
Maintain 100% accuracy of our bank account database (BAWeb). This means keeping Accounts, Companies, Banks, Branches and People records current at all times. Maintain documentation required in the system.
Evaluate and implement ways to streamline and automate current processes and reporting to reduce manual work and potential for errors. This includes collaborating with other departments and leveraging technology to ensure improved processes and create value across the company
Requirements and Qualifications:
3+ years in Treasury at a multinational corporation or in 3+ years in Banking, preferably with corporate/institutional clients
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent
Knowledge of banking software/portals is required, treasury workstations and/or SAP is a plus
Passion for technology: Has a comfort and passion for learning and working with new technology. Intermediate proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites, expected to reach advanced over time.
Excellent communicator: (including written communication) and ability to work cross-functionally. Transparently communicates changes impacting team members. Other languages are a plus.
