Our Market Access & External Affairs department is looking for an Account & Contract Manager to join the team! This is an exciting time to join as you will have the opportunity to work on several new products. You will be responsible for region North Netherlands, contracting AbbVie portfolio in all accounts.
As Account & Contract Manager you are end-to-end responsible for identifying, selling and delivering the business- and organizational value of AbbVie to selected accounts and develop multi-year contracts. You create internal buy-in and approval by creating a winning contracting strategy with a clear win-win business case for the hospital and AbbVie and clear insight what resources and investments are necessary to implement the contract strategy.
You will be joining a mature, fun team, reporting to the Manager Contracting Strategy & Management.
Your key responsibilities
Ability to understand the unmet needs at an account perspective, how payers and stakeholders make and influence decisions. Anticipate und plan possible scenarios to optimally engage locally upon a bespoke AbbVie value proposition.
Ability to use an appropriate sound business judgement (having a ‘general manager’ mindset by assessing local market and setting direction) enabling to predict contingent outcomes from both customer and competitive perspectives.
Effective communication and collaboration with all IFT members to develop and maximize the integrated account plan and to ensure local access for AbbVie portfolio.
Negotiate terms of agreement for contracting the AbbVie portfolio.
Responsible for implementation of contract agreements within AbbVie and accounts.
Responsible for introducing new product launches within accounts, discuss budget impact and negotiate contract agreements.
Compliance with regulations concerning health and safety legislation.
Bachelor or master in business/life science or equivalent.
Business Acumen: ability to create an outside-in understanding of the strategy/business plans of AbbVie and the customer and its financial situation.
At least 5 years of experience with account management, contracting/negotiations and stakeholder management on a strategic and tactical level in the hospital.
Knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including local provider and payer environment and healthcare funding flows (DBC, MSZ).
Knowledge of provider decision-making processes and who are the key payer stakeholders.
Provider intimacy (culture, expenses flow, governance, decision making process)
Understanding of cost pressure/containment/provider needs
Fluent Dutch and English (oral and written).
