De Bijenkorf exists for more than 140 years and has grown into the most exclusive department store in The Netherlands. The assortment can be described as luxurious, premium brands in Fashion, Cosmetics, Accessories and Home/Living.
In 2011, de Bijenkorf was acquired by the Weston family and became part of the Selfridges Group, which also consists of Brown Thomas in Ireland, Holt Renfrew in Canada and Selfridges in the UK. More than 10,000 team members make up the Group and together we provide leading luxury shopping experiences for our customers around the world.
The 10 de Bijenkorf stores are located in the larger cities, with the flagship store in Amsterdam. Other stores are located in Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Amstelveen, Maastricht and Eindhoven. Three smaller stores are located in Groningen, Den Bosch and Breda.
The online activities are fast growing and de Bijenkorf manages to increase its market share in a highly competitive market.
