    UX/ UI Designer

    UX/ UI Designer
    Utrecht, Netherlands

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

For our office in Utrecht we are looking for a communicative and motivated

    UX/UI Designer (40 hr)

What are you going to do?

You will be joining the Digital & Marketing team at Santander as the UX/UI Designer. The team will count on your experience to help elevate the UX of Santander’s online environments. 50% of your time will be about managing the website, designing, and publishing pages. The other 50% will be about designing for the rest of Santander’s online environments. You will also support the team with preparation of mock-ups and designs that align with user needs in collaboration with various departments of Santander and work towards building centralized UX designs for different channels.

    Website management and design

    • You will be responsible for assessing and approving CRO experiments that are conducted on the company’s website in collaboration with an external CRO agency.
    • You will propose redesigns of existing pages to help users find the information that they are looking for and therefore, apply for a loan with Santander.
    • You will propose design solutions for new pages in collaboration with SEO experts that will provide SEO copy for you.
    • You will be responsible for creating and publishing new pages based on your design solutions or regarding existing and new pages.

    Rest of online environments

    • You will conduct UX research, propose design recommendations and present your ideas and findings to your team.
    • You will collaborate with colleagues from your department and other departments for (re)designing features of the rest of Santander online environments (e.g. Homebanking) based on UX research and further team feedback.

As you can tell from the responsibilities, you’ll have a chance to work in a highly primary function at a strategically independent organization that’s part of a massive global brand (Banco Santander) with a large reach. No day will ever be the same!

    Who are you?

    • You’re an ambitious individual with a desire to grow.
    • You have a go-getter attitude and like to execute.
    • You have a persistent personality and don’t stay down once you’re fallen.
    • You have a hunger to absorb and soak in the knowledge, skills and experience around you and see how you can make it work for you.
    • Once you’re confident with what you’re working with, you’re self-managing and do not require micromanagement and can be self-reliant.
    • English in word and writing is a must, Dutch is desired.

    Role requirements

    • A Bachelor/Master in Marketing, Graphics Design or Arts related fields.
    • At least 1 year of experience working as UX/UI Designer.
    • Background in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, or other related fields.
    • Knowledge on how to create wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma.
    • Experience and skills in Photoshop/Illustrator/other graphic design tools.
    • Experience in launching surveys, conducting user testing, and using quantitative data (e.g., Google analytics) to inform your design solutions.
    • Strong willingness to learn how to operate the Content Management System of the company’s website.
    • Natural ability to find a balance between user and business needs, as well as figuring out the limits of technological feasibility when it comes to your design solutions.
    • Creative thinker but also analytical when needed.
    • Ability to work well within a team, but also independently.

    Bonus points

Experience in the following will be a huge plus:
