New Horizons, one of the most innovative initiatives within the bank, is looking for a dedicated UX Designer. In this role you will work at the edge of the bank and be involved in the development of highly innovative financial services which are embedded in platforms of digital third-parties. Our lending proposition focuses on helping our SME customer flourish and contribute to new revenue streams for the bank. We do this in a full agile, flexible setting focused on executing on our innovative ambitions. As our future UX Designer, you will help to shape and execute our Banking-as-a-Service strategy aimed to help our SMEs grow.

    Innovation UX Designer: creating customer friendly journeys

    As UX designer you can create the perfect customer journey for our customers on third party channels. You contribute to accelerating all our innovative propositions, bringing them to the market at high pace. Subsequently, you are involved in gathering customer feedback and analyse customer interactions, to improve our propositions daily. As innovation team, we highly focus on speed and efficiency, resulting in build-measure-learn ways of working. As a UX Designer you can make the difference by developing an outstanding user experience on a variety of third-party platforms. Your goal is to prove we design, and build, solutions our customers really want! As we focus on multiple channels to integrate our solutions, you will need to be creative and flexible when it comes to envisioning future customer experiences.

    You will join a team consisting of a variety of roles, including:

    What you can expect

    • Responsibility of UX design for key innovative embedded lending services on third party channels;

    • Design the basics of prototyping (mockups, landing-pages, sketching)

    • Setting up a professional customer development approach

    • Understand and deliver the user experience our customer expect, own the job-to-be-done of the customer whose problem we are trying to solve and understand the problem and needs thoroughly

    • Develop design principles based on quantitative and qualitative insights and plan the design roadmap

    • Visualize concepts, create persona’s and customer journeys and have a strong vision to deliver a 10+ customer experience

    • Be up to date about the latest design trends and techniques and translate these into actionable behavior

    What we expect

    • Experience in design methodologies to develop rapid prototypes (e.g. mock-ups, sketches) as well as minimum viable products

    • Connect the user experience to solution development and translate validated customer needs into design functionalities

    • Manage, coach and develop other staff: pair side-by-side with colleagues teaching them the skills necessary to design and prototype

    • Have a track-record in customer development: deeply understand the (experience) needs and behavior of our customers and apply professional interview and research techniques

    • Experience working within the context of extreme programming, agile and scrum methodologies, customer development and lean startup

    • Specialized in interaction design, service design, visual design and/or UX research.

    • Experience in growth hacking is a pre

    • Understanding the Dutch language is a must have and needed to successfully fill this position.

    • a gross monthly salary based on salary scale 8/9 between €3.259,61 and € 5.384,14 (depending on your exact experience)

    • an Employee Benefit Budget. You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout;

    • a personal budget that you can spend on activities related to your personal development and career;

    • flexible working times and location-independent working (subject to assignments);

    • a pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 3,5%.
