    Test Technology Manager ATE

    The Test Technology Manager ATE drives a state-of-the-art test landscape ensuring NXP test manufacturing is at the front end of innovation. Through benchmarking, scouting and internal roadmap requirements acquisition, the Test Technology Manager drives NXP’s industrial test roadmap by understanding market trends, the requirements of new products and the needs of manufacturing sites. This empowers the Test Technology Manager to influence roadmaps of key suppliers, amongst others through a structural roadmap alignment process.

    The Test Technology Manager for ATE plays a vital role at NXP for streamlining new test requirements from the Business Lines, capabilities at manufacturing sites and Design for Test techniques from R&D.

    The Test Technology Manager for ATE co-works in a team with Test Technology Managers for Wafer Test, Final Test and Contacting.

    The Test Technology Manager ensures on time availability of new test equipment, technology or process before the first NPI (New Product Introduction) requires it for mass production.

    The job requires and extensive cooperation with all ATE Suppliers, BL’s, Operations, mass production, development sites, procurement and Hardware Design (a.o. loadboard, probecard).

    The Test Technology Manager represents Test Innovation in all internal Tester User Groups .

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    Test Roadmap

    Drive and deploy NXP’s Industrial ATE Test Roadmap. Propose innovation projects for the ATE Test Roadmap. Ensure timely execution and reporting of the projects on the ATE Test Roadmap using resources within and/or outside the Test Innovation team.

    Test Strategy

    Drive and deploy NXP’s ATE Test Strategy.

    Define clear rationale and business case for cost improvement opportunities or new technology introductions, obtain stakeholder approval to implement these proposals.

    Maintain the ATE Equipment Lifecycle Management process compliant to the strategy.

    Benchmarking

    Provide intelligence on market trends, competitor info and emerging technologies for the ATE test technology stream through benchmarking and scouting. Embed these learnings in the ATE Test Strategy.

    Program, Project and Competence Management

    Accountable for the timely execution and reporting of innovation projects. Accountable for individual project results meeting the project goals. Responsible for aligning overall ATE roadmap project resource requirements with the executing organizations Support these organizations to have competent resources available for executing the innovation projects.

    Steering/coaching Tester User Groups aligned with the strategy and roadmap.

    Cross Functional Aspects

    Requires good communication skills to co-work with internal stakeholders (like other streams, BL’s, Operations, manufacturing and development sites). Driving strategic partnership with key ATE suppliers is a must-have.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering

    • 10+ years’ experience in Test Engineering

    • 5+ years of experience taking complex projects and programs delivering NPI and/or NTI (New Technology Introduction)

    • Extensive experience in selecting and introducing new equipment, technologies and processes

    • Demonstrated high level of technical leadership, mentoring, and strong communication skill set

    • Independent and self-driven, able to identify, confront, and resolve difficult problems.

    • Capable of having strategic conversations at the senior management level and technical discussions across teams, both internally and with suppliers externally. Ensuring a proper vision and ability to execute that strategy.

    • Creative problem-solver with ability to look beyond existing business and technology limitations driving the next step in test (r)evolution.

    • Network in NXP Test Engineering community at all levels

    • Excellent presentation and communication skills

    • Comfortable navigating within a large company with multi-cultural and multi-national background.

    • Fluent in English communication, both written and verbal

    • Willingness to travel internationally

    Job Location

    Europe or USA is preferred.

    Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
