    Sustainability Program Manager

    For our Global Sustainability department we are looking for an experienced Program Manager. The Global Sustainability team works across the business and with external stakeholders, developing and orchestrating delivery of our Brew a Better World 2030 strategy. In the role of Program Manager you identify emerging sustainability topics and translate them, with input from key stakeholders, into measurable operational and sustainability benefits and goals.


    As a Sustainability Program Manager you also:


    • Work along the Global Sustainability team on key emerging topics which are currently not (yet) part of our BaBW 2030 strategy and which are closely connected to existing initiatives and goals such as biodiversity, circular packaging, new emerging standards like SBTN and TFND
    • Work within the Global Sustainability team, cross-functionally (e.g. with GSC, HGP, People, Commerce) and with relevant external stakeholders, using inputs from a diverse set of stakeholders building a narrative and recommended way forward for new initiatives and topics that will bring about measurable operational and sustainability benefits.
    • Where relevant and once approved/aligned, develop these initiatives into coherent goals for relevant functions and/or regions/OpCos, aligned to the overall BaBW 2030 strategy. Support with successful embedding of approved new initiatives in a pragmatic way with key stakeholders.
    • Support the Director Sustainable Enablement with driving consistency and alignment across all BaBW 2030 initiatives, enabling a smooth and coordinated engagement across regions and OpCos.
    • Develop and manage capability building/training programmes for relevant colleagues across functions, regions and OpCos on key sustainability issues together with other subject matter experts.
    • Ensure continual external focus with regard to emerging trends, risks and opportunities for HEINEKEN’s sustainability and responsibility agenda. Strong consideration for emerging external standards and best practices.

    Job requirements

    Education: University master’s degree

    Work experience: 10+ years of experience

    Required work experience in field of expertise: Proven track record of seamlessly working across complex organizations and functions

    Other fields of expertise: Well versed and experienced in sustainability best practices, managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes

    Functional skills: Stakeholder management, mobilizing others

    Language: English
