We are looking for an experienced Store Concept & Design Manager to join our global Store Development team at our head office in Hoofddorp.
In this role you are responsible for the Store Design & Concept team. Your main responsibility is to guard and ensure the team’s main and central focus, which is to deliver brand concepts and store layouts for our direct operated stores, franchise POS, Showrooms and Outlet Stores. You ensure projects are resourced effectively and that key milestones and deadlines are tracked and met. You do this all while meeting design-, concept-, brand-, cost-, schedule- and operational requirements; as well as contributing to our overall store development strategy and involvement in our continuously developing conceptual retail approach. Therefor you are a master at setting priorities, and you are highly skilled at organizing, planning and maintaining focus.
What will you do?
Managing a small team of store designers/planners, a creative project manager and a concept designer.
Improve the current concept development and store design structure, which will result to a further development of our stores.
Overseeing daily operations, including all aspects for each project; making full use of project management to efficiently manage the team’s time across multiple projects from initial briefing to final completion and delivery, monitoring progress, and tracking work status and milestones.
Clearly communicating client and project needs, setting project goals, expectations, and priorities to ensure a smooth process and on-time delivery in accordance with the project brief.
Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement projects outside of client requests.
Creating timely and accurate project status reports and recaps after projects are completed.
Strategizing for future opportunities based on our organization’s goals for store design and concept design.
Monitoring industry trends and adjusting our strategy to match those changing needs.
Continually examining workflow processes and finding areas to improve
Involvement from initial design phase to store opening. Strategy, Operations and Team development.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Has a minimum of 5 years proven management experience in a fashion retail environment
Has an HBO in (interior) architecture/interior design/retail design
Is experienced in balancing workloads among a creative team;
Is confident juggling a large number of projects, and able to remain flexible to possible mid-project changes and quickly re-set priorities.
Required knowledge and Skills
2nd language proficiency > English
Methodical with excellent time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
Able to understand commercial needs and ensure it is communicated efficiently to the Project Management team.
Excellent communicator via verbal, written, or visual methods remotely or in person.
Maintains a collaborative approach to work effectively in a team environment.
