The Software Development Manager is required to work for a leading financial services company. The purpose of the Software Development Manager role is to support of Global Head of Technology by managing the day-to-day operations of the development team and managing the program portfolio. The role will also have a strong strategic focus and will want to contribute to the transformation of the organizations application landscape and delivery of the digital strategy across the Group.
Manage a team of software developers.
Manages all the activities of the software development team.
Sets attainable goals to team members to complete the project on time.
Provides guidance to team members to encourage work productivity.
Make sure the timeline is followed by the software development team.
Manages multiple projects at once.
Ensures appropriate procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software development.
Resolving performance issues and making revisions when necessary.
Represents the software department in meetings.
Participate in design control activities.
Monitors, evaluates, and ensures the completion of tasks and projects.
Analyses software requirements.
Implements design plans, reviews unit tests.
Test and debug applications.
Documents software development.
Monitors status of developing software.
Writes, reviews and revises product requirements and specifications.
Participates in other areas of the software development process.
Train technical and non-technical end-users once the software has been developed.
Provides technical support to other company personnel.
Any prior knowledge with Azure public cloud services is a plus.
Design, develop and maintain a data layer.
Technical knowledge of SQL Server.
Experience with report writers Visual Studio (MS Report Builder).
Develop reports in SQL Server Reporting Services.
Design, Develop and Deploy SSIS Packages.
Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases.
Can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it.
Minimum 5-8 years working experience.
Good English writing, reading and verbal communication skills is a must.
Back ground in similar industry is a plus.
Manage tasks pro-actively.
Affinity with technology, fund administration and banking industry.
