    Shared Services Facilities Operations Program Manager

    Our Tesla facilities are on the front lines of our mission. The Facilities Operations team provide operational support to enable our locations to run as efficiently and effectively as possible and provide an exceptional experience to our employees and to our customers.

    The Role

    The Facilities Operations Program Manager successfully implements pro-active and cost reducing maintenance, repair and inspection programs that are critical to support Tesla’s rapid growth while also ensuring stores continue to meet our evolving standards. This individual partners with various Places teams, as well as other Tesla departments and external vendors. Supports activities including roadmap planning, detailed project planning, project execution, reporting to leadership, risk identification and mitigation, progress presentations to leadership, and project close out with FM’s.


    • Identify and asses trends in spend and requests with support from SSFO PM and coordinator based on locations and/or regions and ensure efficiencies and cost reductions are realized.
    • Support in providing reports to upper management.
    • Set up and manage implementation of programs to reduce cost and repetitive requests
    • Evaluate and review programs and make improvements where needed
    • Forecasting in budget
    • Perform surveys (Implement surveys on performance of Facilities Operations and vendors, use conclusions to implement change or create strategies and processes based on the outcome)
    • Work cross functionally to build a structured and scalable operations program to ensure consistent brand standards and customer experience for all our facilities including sales, service, delivery, manufacturing, warehousing, office, and other locations.
    • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes (continuously assess processes and make improvements for efficiency when needed)
    • Manage (new) vendor contract management (KPI, SLA, competitive prices, renegotiate extension and performance, onboarding, set up expectations, support with guidelines and internal processes)
    • Responsible for FM systems implementation, evaluation and ongoing successful use (set up vendors, set up training, set up processes and expectations)

    • Create preventative repair, maintenance and inspection programs and service schedules for all systems/assets and equipment.


    • Educational background in Facility, Program and/or Project Management and/or equivalent work experience
    • Passion for Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy
    • Superior level of motivation and comfort working in a high energy, fast-paced environment
    • Collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment
    • Proven ability to influence key stakeholders and act as a well-respected, trusted partner
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams, Project and/or Facilities Management
    • Exceptional organizational skills, Project Management and attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn new systems quickly
    • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
