As Route Analyst you will be part of an international team of enthusiastic colleagues working from the Netherlands and the Philippines. The RouteGuard team is part of Shipping Operations, supporting both our FleetGuard Managed product and our RouteGuard service. You will build a strong relation with our Shipping customers, providing excellent service, high quality and ongoing support. Your primary responsibility is weather routing and post voyage performance analysis. You will communicate with captains and operators to provide the best in class routing service during the voyage, and provide performance analysis after the voyage. We expect people to oversee and manage their own workload, can set priorities and keep a high-quality standard under pressure. Next to that, we’re looking for people that do not accept the status quo but are keen to think about improving our procedures and services to our customers.
Monitor and analyze the weather through interpreting weather models, observations, radar- and satellite imagery.
Prepare ship’s routes, taking navigational constraints for the specific vessel and route into consideration.
Post Voyage Analysis, interpreting and applying relevant charter parties
Building a strong relationship with our customers, informing and warning proactively, providing excellent customer service while doing so.
Issuing route advices, both initial planning and daily updates.
Able to use several applications and have deep knowledge about our product portfolio, related to the Marine sector as well as our customers
Ensure continuous improvement as an employee and with the team
Build team capabilities and the competences of team members.
Minimum rank at sea 2nd officer, strong preference for chief officers
Experience with interpreting and applying charter parties is a plus
You have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
You focus on our customer, always looking for ways to deliver the highest possible quality
