    Research Associate, Functional Charaterization & Bioassays

    Genmab is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.

    Within the Functional Characterization & Bioassays department at Genmab in Utrecht, NL, we are looking for an enthusiastic Research Associate for the Material Logistics Team . The Functional Characterization & Bioassays team develops binding and potency assays used by internal and external parties, such as Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), to demonstrate our antibody products' quality and characteristics. Working in a team of scientists and research associates dedicated to developing and validating state-of-the-art bioassays. As Research Associate Material Logistics, you will be coordinating and performing release and retest of critical materials and cell banks for internal assays and assays performed at CMOs

    Your role at Genmab

    As our new Research Associate for the Material Logistics Team, you enjoy taking responsibility of your own projects while being a true team player. This is what you are going to do:

    • Perform experiments using a range of modern techniques for release of critical materials and cell banks for multiple projects (e.g. ELISA, cell-based assays, FACS)

    • Coordinate the release/retest process and communicate results clearly to internal and external stakeholders

    • Work closely together with research associates and scientists within the FCB department

    • Work in the lab in an organized manner and strive to consistently generate good results

    • Document data accurately to guarantee the quality of materials for assay development and for assays at CMOs

    • Document results in an organized and concise manner in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

    And, you will also train employees on the release/retest procedure of antigens and cell banks

    What we ask

    You are someone, who enjoys working in a fast-paced biotechnology environment, to help improve our procedures and to work with different types of techniques. You are enthusiastic and enjoy working in a team. In this role, you will be trained by us, but what we ask from you is:

    • A HLO/BSc degree, preferably in Life Sciences

    • Knowledge and experience of ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and cell-based assays and subsequent analysis

    • Work experience in a biotech company is a pre, even as working with an ELN system.

    • Good planner and adjusting priorities appropriately, together with the team

    • Flexible and capable of running several assays in parallel

    • Highly motivated and hands-on mentality

    • You recognize the importance of working according to procedures (SOPs), which includes detailed documentation of your practical work

    • Performing well under demanding timelines
