    Research Associate, Development Materials

    Genmab is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.

    As Research Associate, Development Materials , within the CMC Science & Technologies department, you will be responsible for providing high quality critical reagents to enable the development of antibody therapeutic candidates. You will purify and characterize antibodies and antigens. The quality of the materials and data are critical to ensure the quality and compliance of assays used in development of antibody candidates. Currently we are in a growing phase with a ‘knock your socks off’ pipeline of new antibody products and the Development Materials team is being newly established within the CMC Science & Technologies department as a result of the growth of our clinical portfolio

    The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by quality, teamwork and results, and will collaborate with connecting teams to ensure that the correct materials are provided with the correct documentation and timelines.

    Responsibilities

    You purify and analyze antibodies and antigens that are used as critical reagents for development purposes. Other responsibilities you could expect:

    • Work closely with scientists and other research associates in multiple project teams, primarily in late-stage research projects
    • Document and report the results
    • Most of the work is performed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and therefore requires a high degree of accuracy
    • Contribute to the optimization and innovation of our team


    Requirements

    You are keen and motivated to use your knowledge of-, and experience with protein separation techniques to strengthen our team. Precise and accurate in the execution of experiments and in the documentation of the results. We also need you to have the ability to deal with changing priorities and unexpected work-load. You like to work in a team but you are also capable of working independently. Moreover, you meet the following professional requirements:

    • A completed a HLO/BSc education or equivalent

    • Knowledge of and experience with protein separation techniques like Protein A chromatography and size-exclusion chromatography

    • Interested in late-stage development of antibody products and can perform high-quality research and documentation

    • Ability to work with tight deadlines and are capable of running several projects in parallel and adjust priorities appropriately

    • Motivated by delivering high quality output and are used to working according to a quality system

    Last but not least, you have good relational and communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage, but not required)
