    About the role
    In this role you will repair, refurbish and redeploy custom hardware for the platforms. You will work with test engineers to facilitate root cause analysis, test incoming hardware from suppliers, and help ensure there’s always a stockpile of equipment ready to launch.
    The repair technician's role is to systematically test, repair, and report all parts that flow through the Service Center.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform testing, repairing and refurbishing of Street View equipment, sometimes includes disassembly/reassembly.
    • Manage and coordinate shipping and receiving of return hardware (RMA).
    • Update firmware and perform product burn-in on hardware, as needed.
    • Contribute to the creation and documentation of assembly, repair and test procedures.
    • Fabricate custom cables and harnesses, as needed.
    • Lead the team of field technicians.
    • Provide in-field troubleshooting support when needed.
    • More electrical/electronic focused.
    • Repair components instead of replacement.
    • Desirable to have soldering skills for circuit board repairs.
    • Read and understand the technical documentation.
    • Follow the technical procedures for each part and process.
    • Clearly and timely communicate actions performed and prognosis.
    • Keep and maintain organization.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years’ experience working in manufacturing support or R&D laboratory setting.
    • AA/AS in Electronics/Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with electronic tools such as multi-meters, soldering (through-hole), hand tools, power tools, etc.
    • Able to read and understand technical specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly drawings.
    • Experience in people management, leading the team.
    • To probe and troubleshoot from an engineer diagram.
    • Knowledgeable in electronic repair, electro-mechanical assembly.
    • Familiarity with Word, Excel, or Google Suite equivalent.
    • Detailed oriented with great organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
    • Able to comfortably lift and move 50 pounds.
    • Good driving record.
