    Job Description
    Acting as an expert and partner, the Quality Control Manager supports and advises the Project Manager and the Project Team in the planning, implementation and coordination of project-specific quality management plans and actions. The Quality Control Manager acts as an independent controlling function, serving in particular to ensure compliance with defined processes. The Quality Manager shall also ensure that the existing quality system of the organizational unit is fully applied, including customer specific tailoring where necessary.
    Tasks and responsibilities

    • Acts as contact person for all project-related quality and process issues.
    • Monitors and supports all quality related activities on the project.
    • Attends client quality management meetings
    • Ensures that the project requirements, spelled out in the design requirements specification, are reviewed for consistency, clarity and testability, and that implementation of those requirements is monitored throughout the project.
    • Advises the Project Manager on project-specific adaptations of the development process within the scope of the stipulated specifications and requirements.
    • Plans appropriate quality assurance measures in a quality plan and/or project quality plan) as part of the overall project plan.
    • Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractors documentation submittals.
    • Checks the completeness of the scope of planned tests; where appropriate, evaluates test results and interprets test results together with the Project Manager.
    • Monitors process quality in the project, determines nonconformities, coordinates and administers the resulting actions.
    • Supports the Project Manager efforts to prepare quality-related project reports, including collating and documenting project experiences (Lessons Learned).
    • Coordinate all QA/QC activities within the projects internal and external.
    • Acting as Project Inspection coordinator.
    • Liaising with Int. Association of Classification societies: Lloyds Register, DNV of others and external inspection agencies.
    • Review and approve Supplier/subcontractor Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans and procedures.
    • Review Supplier/Subcontractor fabrication/certification dossiers (as appropriate)
    • Elaborating inspection and test plans for welding specifications, and codes and standards
    • Review procurement documents to ensure that quality requirement have been correctly translated info purchase requisitions and design documents.
    • Review supplier Quality plans (ITP’s) against contractual requirements
    • Take part in supplier audits and surveillances.
    • Requests and monitors implementation of corrective actions in response to identified quality nonconformities.
    • Monitors project documentation for completeness.


    • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering/Management, as well as process and project management, and continuous process improvement.
    • Proactive and capable of grasping technical material quickly.
    • Proven ability to multi-task.
    • Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a can do attitude.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
    • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment.
    • Business orientated education (equivalent HBO) extended with preferably HSEQ related courses
    • VOL-VCA Certified
