    Purchasing Agent

    Do you have experience in purchasing, commercial and/or administrative coordination? Do you speak fluently English and do you have knowledge of SAP? Are you able to be at least two days at the office in Almere and are you able to work fulltime? Then I might be looking for you!

    This company develops, manufactures and markets chemicals. As a leading global producer they service their clients in over 70 countries worldwide. The European head office is located in Almere, The Netherlands. This role is temporary for at least 3 months for 40 hours a week.

    Tasks and responsibilities

    The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

    • Assist in the placement of purchase orders or in purchasing "small ticket" items
    • Support Category Managers and Senior Purchasing Agents in securing goods and services at best value to ensure the continuous operation of production facilities
    • Responsible for adherence to Purchasing policies and procedures
    • Executes buying strategies as defined by Purchasing Management and where necessary execute Purchase Orders in SAP
    • Serve as backup for other buyers and agents, as necessary. This requires working knowledge of all of the organisations domestic production facilities.

    • Fluent in English both oral and written
